Hudson River Valley Garden Tour
New York’s Hudson River Valley is draped in splendor in early summer. Roses, peonies, primroses, and a wealth of other perennials excite the senses with color and fragrance. Please join C. Colston Burrell and Brett Isaacson for an eight-day sojourn through the lush gardens and stately mansions of this pastoral region. Tour the homes of celebrated artists and Gilded Age financiers, view gardens that helped define America's varied garden styles, and enjoy fine dining and exceptional accommodations.
Our itinerary features visits to historic homes including Olana, Wethersfield, and the Vanderbilt Mansion. Step back in time at the residences of Hudson River School painter Thomas Cole's Cedar Grove and industrial designer Russel Wright's Manitoga. Influential gardens including Stonecrop, Innisfree, Wave Hill and Bellefield contrast with the sweeping landscape of contemporary sculptures at Storm King Art Center. We have also arranged delicious meals featuring local ingredients served in settings both contemporary and classic.
Please join us for an unforgettable journey as we survey the history, scenery, gardens and cuisine of the Hudson River Valley.
